The sweet sound of the fiddle you hear is complements of Bob Frisbey.  Bob and his 254 year old fiddle have been with the band since it was formed in 1999. When he isn't fiddling he is blood banking at Livingston Memorial Hospital.
Sam Gordon is the guitar player and vocalist for the band.  His steady rhythm and great licks make everyone around him sound just that much better. He always has another great bluegrass tune he’s ready to sing or pick.
Ken Nelson is the other original member of the band.  He picked up the mandolin a couple of years ago while his leg was in a cast.  After much patient instruction and a lot of practice, he can now make those eight strings sound pretty good.  He’s also the caller for their dances.
As a member of The Pretty Good String Band, J. L. Wilkins sings and plays the stand-up bass.  This former cotton farmer brings the music of his rural Southern roots to the Big Sky Country, truly creating a country-meets-western sound.
